St Ives artist Nina Gallienne was originally born in Michigan in the United States before being brought up in Cornwall. A keen explorer in every sense, Nina has developed a taste for travel and adventure having travelled the Far East, United States and Europe, to name a few.

Having also lived on Guernsey in the Channel Islands, St Ives has always remained her true home. Surrounded by dramatic and dark windswept tors, through to crystal clear waters and sandy beaches, it is clear that her environment and experiences are a true influence in her work. Inspired by classical and local artists alike, St Ives provides the perfect creative energy for Nina’s work.

Nina uses colour as an expression of her life, moods, feelings and experiences. Modernistic and contemporary lifestyle has helped to inject this in to her vibrant and flamboyant pieces.
